Announcing Fall 2011 Auditions
Washington, D.C.—On A Sensual Note unveiled its fall 2011 audition season today with the second phase of the GET TESTED recruitment effort.
Preliminary auditions will be held on September 11, 2011 from 2-5pm in the Anderson Conference Room, and call-backs will be held later that week. Those who audition should know at least a verse and chorus of a song and a joke. In addition, they will be tested for pitch-matching and scales.
“The best piece of advice I can give to any one who auditions is to relax and show us your personality during the process,” said Andrew Munson, the musical director. “OASN is a performance group and a social experience. Personality is a key part of both of those things,” he said.
Any male undergraduate, graduate or law school student at American University may audition by registering here via Google Calendar.
“Every person who walks into the audition room gives us a different perspective,” said the group’s president Aubrey Maslen. “Listening to them really gives us the opportunity to choose the direction of the group. That’s why we encourage everyone to audition,” he said.
